With fall weather starting to officially make it’s appearance, you might be noticing that the leaves are starting to change color and clog the roadways.
While you may not realize it, leaves can create quite a problem when you need to come to a complete stop. In fact, it creates a similar sliding effect to snow and delays the time it takes you to bring your vehicle to a complete stop.
It’s a good idea to check your tire pressure in the fall (with temperatures dropping) and get a tire rotation if you have not recently had one. This will ensure that your tires have adequate tread, are aligned and properly balanced, and contain the correct tire pressure.
Fall is also a time when you want to keep an eye out for school buses, pedestrians, and fog! Just because there’s not snow on the road yet, doesn’t give you a good reason to go over the speed limit.
At Tommy’s, we can handle all types of cars, including specialty and luxury cars. Take a look at some recent cars we worked on.
Each car model and make requires individualized service, which is why we take the time to understand your car. We can handle repairs for all makes & models, and we also specialize in BMW repair.
We’ve been getting cozy in our new, bigger and better location. Have you still not seen our shop on Carter Drive? Then it’s time for you to stop in for an oil change.
At Tommy’s, we recommend you have your oil changed every 3 months or every 3,000 miles. While some manufacturers suggest changing your oil every 5,000 miles, these estimates are based on ideal driving conditions, which most of us aren’t actually doing. If your driving habits fit any of the follow situations, you will want to take extra special care of your vehicle, as these conditions can cause problems for your engine.
Give us a call (610) 696-2633, and we’ll get you setup with a quick oil change. Take care of your car now so you won’t need to come to us for engine repairs later.
Not only have we moved to a new, bigger location, but now we have the help of Peyton. She’s the best guard dog on the block, and she keeps a watchful eye over our garage at all times.
You may have heard that Tommy’s Automotive is moving. Well, the time has finally arrived and we’ll be conducting business out of our bigger, better location starting August 5th!
You can now find us at 211 Carter Drive in the Matlack Industrial Center in West Chester — just minutes from our old location. Although we loved our spot on Bolmar St., our new location is even better. We’ve upgraded from 3500 square feet to 8500 square feet to better accommodate more customers at once. We’ll even be able to work on larger vehicles thanks to our new, spacious ceilings. Additionally, our new parking lot is much bigger and convenient for clients (a very necessary improvement).
We couldn’t be happier with our new place, and we know you’ll love it too. Feel free to stop by and take a look around for yourself or check out our new images in the gallery at the bottom of this post. We’ve also provided a map and directions from our previous location for those of you who are unfamiliar with the Matlack Industrial Center. We hope that you’re as excited as we are about this move and that we’ll see you soon to get your trusted auto repair in West Chester. Our new spot allows us to expand our business without losing that “neighborhood shop” feel we’ve come to cherish. We’ll always be your friendly, West Chester auto shop.

You read that right — Tommy’s Automotive is moving! But don’t worry, we can still be found in the same part of West Chester. We’ve just upgraded.
Our new garage has twice the square footage of our old shop. It also has plenty of parking, unlike our previous location, so feel free to stop by and pay us a visit! What’s more, we’ll now be equipped to work on larger vehicles because the new place has great, spacious ceilings.
This move is a sign of bigger, better things to come for Tommy’s Automotive. We’re expanding our services without losing any of that “neighborhood shop” feel. Tommy’s is proud to now better serve our West Chester customers, who have really become family over the years. We thank you for your loyalty and hope to see you at our new location. Check back for updates during the moving process, or if you’d like to help carry some boxes!

This is the second year we have donated, and we won’t get into specifics but there were nearly twice as many inspections in 2011. Thanks to all of you who had their car inspected at Tommy’s this year. We hope to inspect even more cars this year so that we can donate more at next years Camp Out.
You can hear them talking on the radio about it in December of 2010.
Lets hope he can get another radio plug this year.
We’ve started to expand into the shop next door to our location in the alley on Bolmar St. This new space will have an additional repair bay, and a new office and waiting room.
Thanks to our loyal customer base for keeping us busy enough to expand. We thank all of you who have referred friends and family to our shop, and posted your positive feedback in an online review for others to see.
Q: Tom, what areas are most of your customers from?
A: Most people try to find an auto repair shop within 15 miles of their house. That includes West Goshen Township, East Goshen Township, East Bradford Township, Exton, Downingtown, Malvern, West Chester University, Bradford, Marshall Square, including zip codes 19380, 19381, 19382, 19383, 19341, and 19335. I also have a lot of customers from the Havertown PA where I grew up and still live today. I find that people are willing to drive a little further to an auto repair shop when they find an auto mechanic that they trust.
